What are Moodle LMS Resources?

A Resource in Moodle is an item that a lecturer can add to a Moodle course to support teaching and learning, such as a file, video, or website link. A resource differs from an activity in that it is static; i.e., the student can merely look at or read it rather than participate. Moodle supports a range of resource types which lecturers can add to their courses. In edit mode, a lecturer can add resources via the 'Add an activity or resource' link.

Resources in Moodle provide ways to share information – students can read/watch/download course content in the form of handout. You can use Moodle resources to share text, images, video, or even external links. You can also use Moodle resources to customise the look of your Moodle unit. All unit materials should be provided via Moodle to ensure easy access for all students.
